THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Some crucial details regarding the mysterious death of a youngster in the capital city’s lodge have finally been unearthed. Ajin (33), a native of Pathanapuram's Mangode is the deceased. The incident took place last day at a lodge in Chettikulangara.

Police have taken into custody a woman who was with Ajin during his final hours in the lodge. The woman is married and is a mother of two children. She was later allowed to go with her relatives by police. It is now concluded that Ajin committed suicide inside the lodge. However, not all details are settled since the post-mortem report gave something revealing. In the report, a cut on the young man's lip and a fracture on his neck were found. According to the woman, she asked for help from lodge staff after finding Ajin in an unconscious situation. He was then rushed to a hospital with the help of the lodge workers.

Shockingly, on Friday, the same woman changed her stance and said she saw Ajin hanging from the fan. According to police, the woman single-handedly untied the noose, bathed Ajin’s body, and later dressed the dead body in new clothes. It was only after this that she alerted the lodge authorities about the death. Police say that both Ajin and the woman were in a relationship. Ajin was the neighbour of the woman’s husband.

The young lady, who recently came to Thiruvananthapuram from abroad, never cared to return. She found a job in Thiruvananthapuram and decided to settle here. Meanwhile, Ajin came to the capital city from Pathanapuram to attend an interview. Both of them took a room for the night but things turned awry after another woman contacted Ajin late at night. An altercation took place between the two. The woman in fury decided to leave the place and Ajin threatened her with suicide if she dared leave. Not minding the threat, she left the place but was caught with ill-feeling which made her dial him back. Nobody answered the phone call and she returned to the lodge, only to see Ajin hanging from the fan.
