THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan criticized the luxury travels of the Chief Minister and ministers stating it burdens the common people. He questioned the CM's royal-like attitude suggesting the leader should serve the people, not expect deference.
Satheesan compared Pinarayi Vijayan and allies to former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, highlighting Chandy's commitment to solving people's issues by personally engaging with them. Satheesan demanded a public apology from the CPM and Vijayan to Chandy.
He said that CPM once criticized Oommen Chandy's mass contact program as being equivalent to the work of a village officer. Satheesan raised concerns about the state's economic crisis and the struggles of millions, demanding the government address these issues in the New Kerala assembly.
Satheesan highlighted the plight of 52 lakh people who have lacked pensions for four months, resulting in hardships, including affording medicine. He urged the government to resolve these issues impacting the common people.
