KASARAGOD: Speaking at the inauguration of Navakerala Sadas, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan severely criticized the opposition. "If the UDF government was ruling Kerala today, there would have been no change in the state. The Navakerala Sadas is a government program and the Congress barred the Manjeswaram MLA from attending the inaugural function", CM Vijayan said after inaugurating the event organized at Manjeswaram.
"Before 2016, the people of Kerala were deeply disappointed. Had the UDF government continued in the state, would many of the changes seen today have taken place? The reach of the National Highway from Chengala is being completed at a good pace. I felt that I should get down at a place where it was completed. It was a sight to behold. That is why I was late to reach here"- the Chief Minister said.
"All those who thought that the national highway development in the state would not be done are now in disbelief. We are confident that it will be completed on time. If the government in power had won in 2016, would this change have happened?", he added.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister and ministers will tour all 140 constituencies of Kerala as part of the Navkerala Sadas. Freedom fighters, veterans, eminent persons from various fields, elected women, youth, college union office-bearers, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes talent, artists, celebrities, award winners, Theyam artists, community organization leaders, senior citizen representatives, representatives of various organizations, representatives of places of worship etc. will be special guests.
