THRISSUR: MP TN Prathapan significantly reduced the wedding expenses for his son. Instead, he allocated resources to arrange the marriage of two underprivileged girls and provided a house to a financially struggling family. The marriage ceremony between Ashik, TN Prathapan's son and Aparna, daughter of Kunjeerakath Bhakthavalsan from Guruvayur West took place at Srikrishna Inn in Guruvayur yesterday.
During the wedding event, two girls from Thalikkulam, the MP's hometown, were bestowed with five gold pauns and a sum of 50,000 rupees each as a gift for their impending marriages. This generous gesture was extended to the daughter of Chanassery Nirmala. Another beneficiary was the daughter of Puthiyaveettil Kabir, both natives of Thalikulam. Moreover, Naduvilkara Rafeeq, a resident of Vadanapilly, is set to receive a house courtesy of the MP and his associates.
The wedding witnessed the presence of dignitaries including Governor Arif Muhammad Khan, Minister K. Rajan, KPCC President K. Sudhakaran, Former Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala, KPCC Ex-President VM Sudheeran, and Muslim League State President Sadikhali Shihab. Notable personalities such as Thangal, National General Secretary PK Kunjalikutty, KPCC Working President Kodikunumil Suresh, businessmen MA Yousafali, Sathyan Anthikkad, TS Pattabhiraman, TS Kalyanaraman, VP Nandakumar, and CP Salih were also in attendance at the event.
