NEW DELHI: As the air quality index in Delhi has improved, schools will open from tomorrow. But school assembly and outdoor sports activities are banned for a week. Winter vacation was announced from November 9 to 18 due to extremely poor air quality.
Restrictions imposed under the Graded Response Action Plan were also relaxed in Delhi. The action of the Commission for Air Quality Management is in view of yesterday's index becoming better by 128 points. Severe restrictions were introduced on November 5, when the air quality was in the critical category. A ban on building constructions and a ban on the entry of polluting foreign buses into Delhi were also imposed.
