CHENNAI: A policeman has been arrested for sexually harassing a woman on a moving train. The arrested is Karunakaran, a constable of Tambaram Station. The complaint was filed by an employee of an IT firm who is a native of Kodambakkam.

The cop flashed at her and then tried to harass her sexually when she was travelling to Tambaram in first class coach on November 14. She recorded everything on her mobile phone. Karunakaran, who saw all this challenged the woman saying that he is a policeman and asked her to do whatever she could. He then fled by jumping off the train.

The woman got off at the Tambaram station, lodged a complaint with the RPF who were there and then handed over the clippings. Karunakaran was arrested in an investigation conducted by them with the help of CCTV footage.
