BENGALURU: The court quashed the POCSO case against the accused after the victim expressed her desire to marry the accused in the sexual abuse case. The case was quashed by Justice Hemant Chandangoudar of the Karnataka High Court single bench. The victim said that she wanted to marry the accused in the POCSO case. The girl and her father had filed an affidavit in the court stating that they had no objection to canceling the legal proceedings against the accused.
The girl informed the court that she is of legal age and that she is in love with the accused and wanted to marry him. The accused who was present in the court said that he is also ready to marry the girl. He told the court that they were in love at the time of the incident. With this, the court ordered that their marriage be conducted within a month and the molestation case and the charge under the POCSO Act against the accused were canceled.
