KOTTAYAM: One person has been arrested in an incident where women car passengers broke the headlights of a KSRTC Super Fast at Kodimatha. The arrested has been identified as Sulu (26), a native of Kottayam Ponkunnam, who allegedly broke the headlight. The action is taken in a case taken by the police with the addition of non-bailable sections including destruction of public property.

The super fast was going from Thiruvananthapuram to Malappuram. At Kodimatha, the bus hit the mirror of the car, in which the women were traveling, while overtaking. After this, the women got into an argument with the bus staff. According to the KSRTC staff, the car hit the mirror when it suddenly swerved to the other side. After the argument, the women went to the car and later took the lever from the car and smashed the two headlights on the front of the bus. After that, the women got into the car and drove away.

The Chingavanam police registered a case and investigated the incident. Sulu came to the police station after the police found that the women escaped in an Alappuzha registration car. The mother who was with her is absconding. Sulu will be produced in court tomorrow morning.
