A final decision in this regard will be taken based on the opinions of people's representatives, civic leaders and the state government. The Railway Board had sought a report from the Southern Railway taking into account the protests and news of the organizations in the last few days. The operation of the Vande Bharat service via Alappuzha is affecting the service of two passenger trains. Meanwhile, Vande Bharat service has not affected the services of long-distance trains via Alappuzha.
