KALPETTA: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a press conference that the public participation in the Nava Kerala Sadas organized by the state government has caused the opposition to become paranoid. He also said that those who are trying to disrupt the Nava Kerala Sadas will be disappointed.
"There was a historic turnout in Kasaragod and Kannur districts. Thousands flocked to attend the Nava Kerala Sabha in Wayanad despite the adverse weather conditions. Nava Kerala Sadas has received 42868 complaints till Wednesday. The government has a proper mechanism for redressal of grievances. Out of the 5,40,000 complaints received through the Grievance Redressal Cell started during the previous LDF government, more than 5,35,000 have been resolved. Solving people's problems is part of the ongoing process of government," the CM said.
"Prohibiting MLAs from attending the Sadas is a violation of the rights of representatives of the people. The style of the opposition leader has changed. He is just blabbering something. What kind of language is he using? What kind of allegations are being raised? Where was money collected for this programme? The fact that the Paravur Municipal Corporation sanctioned money to the Nava Kerala Sadas is proof of people's faith in the government. The opposition leader is alleging that the government was not resolving the complaints that it received are not resolved. Who is telling him such lies?" he added.
