KOZHIKODE: Harsheena said that she is not ready to back down from the fight for justice and will start again if the government does not give permission to prosecute those found guilty by the police. Officials of Harsheena Samara Sahaya Samiti informed in a press conference that compensation should be made available based on the police report and action should be taken against the culprits. Chairman Dinesh Perumanna said that if there is no announcement in Kozhikode, a protest meeting will be organized in front of the secretariat under the leadership of Samara Samiti on the 23rd, the concluding day of Navakerala sadas.
It has been a month since the police filed a report that found that the scissors stuck in the stomach during the delivery operation was due to the negligence of the doctors of the medical college, but further action is being delayed. On October 26, the district police chief's office submitted a report seeking permission for prosecution to the police headquarters and to the government on October 28. Harsheena said that although the Chief Minister and the Health Minister said that action would be taken once the report was received, justice is still far away. She said that she should not be pushed into a strike again and should be given consideration as a woman. Convener Mustafa Palazhi, MT Sethumadhavan, Shaukat Moozhikkal, and Harsheena's husband MK Ashraf were also present at the press conference.
