THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Member of Parliament and CPM Politburo member Brinda Karat has come forward against false propaganda in her name on social media. She has filed a complaint with the state police chief and cybercell against those who are spreading false propaganda in connection with the Navakerala Sadas.
As per the complaint, strict legal action should be taken against those who spread defamatory statements using her name and picture through online media.
The complaint is against propaganda that Brinda has said that the activities in Kerala is extravagance and that Pinarayi and his comrades should learn from Oommen Chandy.
"These posts in Malayalam are false and fabricated with the aim of tarnishing the reputation of me and party. Screenshots of the fake post have also been uploaded along with the complaint. A misleading statement is being circulated under the pretense that I said it. Those behind this act, which is also aimed at misleading the public, should be found and strict legal action should be taken.", Brinda said in her complaint.
