IDUKKI: A KSRTC bus overtook and collided with a car, resulting in an accident near Nedunkandam Cooperative Bank Junction, Idukki last Sunday. The bus traveling on the Idukki Kumily route was speeding and hit the rear door of the oncoming car carrying Arun and his family. Fortunately, no injuries were reported despite the impact being on the side where Arun's wife, Athira and their child were seated.

Following the accident, the bus crew reportedly threatened the car owner and behaved aggressively towards the locals who intervened. Despite attempts to prevent its departure, the bus was taken into custody by the police only after strong opposition from locals and those involved in the car. The conductor of the bus even challenged the police authority.

The bus, however, was released yesterday evening after being held in custody.
