BENGALURU: A three-member team abducted a 23-year-old woman. The incident happened at Hassan district in Karnataka. The CCTV visuals show the team in a SUV forcing her inside the vehicle. She was kidnapped from near her school.
The police got the visuals of the gang stopping the car near Arpita, who was walking along the road and three forcing her into the car. The police said Arpita's mother alleged that a neighbor named Ramu was behind the crime. The family has also testified that the two were in love for the past four years.
The police informed that three teams have been formed to conduct a detailed investigation into the incident and the investigation is underway. Today all the schools in Karnataka are closed on the occasion of Kanaka Dasa Jayanthi. Mohammad Sujeeta, Hassan police officer, said that a detailed investigation will be conducted on why she headed to the school when it was shut.
