NEW DELHI: A man was brutally beaten up on the roadside by a group of assailants in New Delhi's Adarsh Nagar. The information came to light after the CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media. The footage shows two people attacking a young man with a knife and thick stones.

The assailants who followed the man attacked him in front of a house after he fell. One of the assailants started kicking the man on the ground. Another person tried to stab him with a knife. After that, he was brutally beaten with stones and pieces of tiles lying around.

As the crime took place near a school in Adarsh Nagar, there were many students and locals on the road at the time, but no one intervened. The beaten young man is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. The Delhi Police informed that the youth has not yet filed a complaint in the incident. Commissioner Jitendra Meena said that a detailed investigation will be conducted into the incident.
