Actor-politician Suresh Gopi has now shared his support for actress Lena after the latter got mercilessly trolled in cyberspace for her philosophical takes where she also elucidated her previous life experiences.

According to Suresh Gopi, all the sneering at Lena comes from jealousy. The actor was speaking at a function in Prajyoti Niketan College when he mentioned Lena’s recent plight.

Suresh Gopi's words:

I first visited this college in 2000-2001 while acting in ‘Thenkasipattanam'. At that time, Lena was studying for post-graduation. Lena brought me here. The college served as a landmark for me to identify Pudukad.

The same Lena is now on the path of spirituality. We should bring her here. Not just for proselytising for any religion. Lena is not into any religion. We just need a focus in life. Lena has chosen spirituality and it is better than falling for drugs and banned substances.

We should call Lena to conduct a talk. People may ridicule that by saying Lena is mad, demented or what else? All these come out of jealousy. These people can’t stand people giving enlightened talks. Let them talk whatever, we should work ways to lead a happy life.

People like Lena are not advocates of any religion. I think more than 50 people like her should be called and an interaction should be held. Students should know about the wealth of this nation. I will talk with Lena, no worries.

Lena had said in an interview that she was a monk in her previous life. She later admitted tasting mushrooms at the age of 23 in Kodaikanal. After Lena's medical remarks became controversial, the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists also came forward against the actress.
