DUBAI: In a relief for the recent run of bad form of their big brothers against India in the World Cup and Asia Cup, Pakistan defeated India by eight wickets in the Under-19 Asia Cup Cricket. The win was powered by Pakistan's Azan Awais who scored scored 105*(130).

Batting first, India managed to score only 259 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. Opener Adarsh Singh 62(81), captain Uday Saharan 60(98) and Sachin Das 58(45) scored fifties for India.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Shehsan took four wickets conceding 46 runs in ten overs. Chasing a target of 260 runs, Pakistan overcame the target with the loss of just two wickets in 47 overs.

Apart from Awais' century, opener Shahzaib Khan's 63(88) and captain Saad Bagh's unbeaten 68 off 51 balls proved crucial in Pakistan's win. Indian bowler Murugan Abhishek took two wickets.
