KOLLAM: After a Malayali couple and their daughter was found dead at a resort in Karnataka's Kodagu, more details have surfaced. The deceased man, Vinod Babusenan (43), is an ex-serviceman and his wife Jibi Abraham (38) is a college professor in Thiruvalla. This is the second marriage of both. Jane Maria Jacob (11) is Jibi's child from the first marriage. Vinod also has a child from his first marriage.

Vinod Babusenan (43) is the son of Babusenan and Kasthurbai. The preliminary assumption is that financial liability is the cause of suicide. In their suicide note, it was stated that no one else was involved in their death.

Jibi is a college teacher in Thiruvalla. It is also reported that she was involved in some financial fraud cases in Thiruvalla. She took leave from the college saying that she is going to Delhi with her family. Vinod Babusenan left Kollam thirteen years ago. People close to Vinod's family home in Paravoor's Ayiravallikavu say that he has not come to Kollam since then and does not know more details.

Vinod's first wife is from Kottayam's Aymanam and Jibi's first husband hails from Kasaragod. The duo got married a few months ago after separating from their first marriage. Vinod, who was working in the army, returned home in 2012. After this he was running a private educational consultancy in Thiruvalla. It was during this time that he met Jibi and became close.

They reached the resort at 6 pm on December 8 and took their rooms. The resort staff was informed that they will check out on Saturday morning. They went out of the room on Friday evening and returned to the room by night after seeing the places. When they weren't seen outside even after 10 am on Saturday, the staff got suspicious and checked the room.

The couple were found hanging in the room and the daughter was found dead on the bed. Based on the information provided by the resort staff, the Madikeri police reached the spot and inspected the dead bodies and registered a case.
