THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A shop owner died after the car carrying Sabarimala devotees lost control and rammed into the bakery. The accident happened Monday morning at 4.45 am near Thandrampoika Junction in Venjaramoodu. The car carrying Andhra natives proceeding to Thiruvananthapuram from Karettu rammed into the bakery shop. The dead is Ramesan (47), a resident of Aliyadu. The passengers of the car sustained injuries but are not serious. They have been admitted to the hospital.
30 Sabarimala pilgrims were injured in a collision between KSRTC buses the other day. The bus going from Nilakkal to Pampa and the other proceeding to Nilakkal from Pampa collided near Attathod.
It is heard that the driver of the bus going to Pampa dosed off causing the accident. Two of the injured were shifted to Pathanamthitta General Hospital and four to Kottayam Medical College Hospital for specialist treatment.
