NEW DELHI: K Surendran, the state president of BJP in Kerala highlighted concerns regarding the implementation of democratic systems in various parts of the state. He emphasized the need for interventions in specific areas suggesting the requirement of measures akin to employing bulldozers.

Additionally, Surendran indicated the potential for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to contest in Thiruvananthapuram expressing confidence in Modi's wide-ranging popularity across the nation. He compared the possibility of Modi's candidacy to Rahul Gandhi's contest in Wayanad and asserted the final decision rests with the central leadership.

Moreover, BJP is contemplating fielding a candidate against Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad, subject to consultations with the BDJS.

Surendran also praised Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan for his alignment with justice asserting positive changes in the state's universities. He criticized the historical dominance of certain groups in university bodies and expressed determination to rectify it.

Furthermore, Surendran condemned the past practice of allowing illiterate and inefficient people to influence decision-making in Kerala's university bodies promising to remove those associated with criminal activities from the SFI.
