KOLLAM: Anithakumari, accused in the case of kidnapping the six-year-old girl, mocked the journalist who fell on the ground. When brought for the evidence collection related to the case, Anithakumari, who clapped after seeing the media worker fall, also asked to let her walk.
The journalist fell to the ground while filming Anithakumari walking with the police. Anithakumari stopped walking after hearing the sound, looked back and clapped.
The incident took place when Anithakumari was brought to the farmhouse in Chirakkara for evidence collection. The crime branch team along with the accused KR Padmakumar (52), his wife MR Anithakumari (39) and daughter P Anupama (21) of Kavitharaj, Mampallikunnam, Chathannoor came to the farmhouse for evidence collection. Only Anithakumari was brought out of the police vehicle for evidence collection.
Anithakumari stepped out of the vehicle covering her face with a shawl. Notebooks and an instrument box were found during the search for evidence in the farmhouse, but there in a burned state. The crime branch concluded that the handwriting in the book did not belong to the six-year-old girl.
