THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has lashed out against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the incident where SFI activists waved black flags against him. Speaking to the media, the Governor said that criminals and goons were protesting against him and that a conspiracy was held against him under the leadership of the Chief Minister.
The Governor alleged that the Chief Minister arranged an opportunity for the SFI activists to manhandle him.
"How did the protestors manage to hit the glass of my vehicle without the Chief Minister knowing? Bloody criminals, is it democracy to come and hit the car? The police failed to provide me with security. What will happen if someone approaches the Chief Minister's vehicle like this? They were sent by the Chief Minister. They were trying to harm me physically.
The SFI activists were protesting against the Governor's stand regarding universities. The other day, SFI activists had waved black flags against the Governor in Vazhuthacad.
The Governor was travelling from Raj Bhavan to Thiruvananthapuram airport when SFI and DYFI activists waved black flags at his vehicle at around 5.30 pm today. The activists protested by jumping in front of the Governor's vehicle with black flags. Seeing this, the Governor got out of the vehicle and shouted at them.
