THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CK Nanu faction will soon write to LDF claiming to be real JDS. With this, the state leadership of JDS, which has not yet clarified their alliance, will be in crisis.

CK Nanu faction has also decided to approach the Election Commission and the Supreme Court showing that they are the real leadership. It has also been agreed to announce new leadership at the national and state level.

The letter is issued as per the decision of the party plenum which met in Bengaluru under the leadership of CK Nanu last day. CK Nanu was sacked by national president Deve Gowda for calling a parallel party plenum to protest the JDS national leadership's ties to the BJP.

The Kerala leadership has rejected the BJP affiliation of the national leadership but they have not aligned themselves with the CK Nanu side.

If the Nanu faction's letter is taken seriously by the LDF leadership, party MLAs Mathew T. Thomas and K. Krishnankutty will have to clarify their position. They may also be forced to provide a political explanation of who the real leadership is.

Nanu, the sole vice-president, was sacked on the grounds that it was against the party's constitution to convene a parallel meeting when the national president was present. Action was taken against CK Nanu in an executive meeting called by National President Deve Gowda. Following this, the party plenum chaired by CK Nanu expelled Gowda and others.
