THIRUVANANTHAPURAM/NEW DELHI: The Governor will submit a report to the Central Government and the President that the attempt to attack him who is the constitutional head of the State of Kerala on the road is a serious breakdown of law and order. The security of the Central Army will also be demanded.

Once the report is received, the Union Home Ministry will seek a report from the Chief of Police regarding the security breach. He may even be summoned. A report can also be sought from the Chief Secretary. Raj Bhavan has sought an explanation from the Chief Secretary and DGP. The report will be sent to the Centre once this is received. The Governor sends a monthly report to the Centre detailing the situation in the state. The protests on roads will be reported separately.

IB has reported that the governor who has Z-plus security, was not provided with it. Meanwhile, the Security Review Committee will convene an emergency meeting to assess the security of the governor. The committee consists of the Home Secretary, Police Chief, Intelligence Chief, Security IG and IB Deputy Director. If there is a lapse in providing security, it will be remedied.
