MALAPPURAM: Youth Congress state vice president Aritha Babu filed a complaint with the police on the incident of sending obscene clippings through video call from Qatar. Shameer, a resident of Amarambalam in Malappuram, sent the obscene clippings. Aritha clarified that the expatriate tried to apologize but will proceed with the case.

Aritha came directly to the Kayamkulam DySP office and lodged a complaint. Aritha said that he should not do this to any girl and that is why she filed the complaint.

The obscene clippings were sent to the phone through a WhatsApp call. Aritha said that when she asked who was calling, he did not respond and kept on video calling her. The caller's face was hidden from the phone camera and the call continued. In a post shared on Facebook, Aritha said that she had given the caller's phone number to her friends and when they called, his face was captured.
