KOTTAYAM: The Chief Minister publically criticized Thomas Chazhikadan MP at the Navakerala Sadas venue in Pala. Thomas Chazhikadan started the welcome speech by introducing three needs of Pala. After he concluded the speech, the Chief Minister sarcastically criticized the MP.
Chazhikadan raised the demands of increasing the support price of rubber, renovation of Pala Municipal Stadium and completion of Cherpunkal Bridge. The Chief Minister gave a reply speech expressing his displeasure at this.
"The entire state has come to understand why this program was organized. But there is one person who does the welcome speech here, and he does not seem to understand why this is being organized.," CM Vijayan said.
"He spoke as if we were out to receive complaints. Complaints are only a part of this. The program's main point is not to receive complaints. Complaints are always given to ministers. The problems faced by our state are to be presented to the people. The Centre's discrimination against Kerala needs to be brought before the people."
"It is also necessary to present where our state has come and what we have to do in the future. I don't think Chazhikadan understood it clearly. That was unfortunate", CM Vijayan criticized.
The Chief Minister ended the speech by saying that what Chazhikadan and others said will be considered later and 'Sadas' does not intend to comment on that. Jose K. Mani also demanded to raise the support price of rubber to Rs.200 in his speech.
