NEW DELHI: The new Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will take oath today. Mohan Yadav was announced as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Vishnu Deo Sai as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior BJP leaders will attend the oath-taking ceremony.

In a surprise move, the BJP announced Vishnu Deo Sai and Mohan Yadav as Chief Ministers. Mohan Yadav, an OBC leader, was the higher education minister in the previous Chauhan cabinet. It was thought that Chauhan, who brought the BJP back to power, would continue as the CM.
