NEW DELHI: 15 opposition MPs, including four from Kerala, have been suspended by the Speaker for disrupting the proceedings of the House. Of the suspended MPs, nine are Congress MPs. Manickam Tagore, TN Prathapan, Dean Kuriakose, Ramya Haridas, Hibi Eden, Jothimani, VK Shreekandan, Benny Bahanan, Kanimozhi, Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien are among the suspended.

Earlier in the day, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi moved a resolution to suspend the MPs. The suspension is for the duration of this session.

Today, the opposition created a ruckus in the Lok Sabha by demanding the government's statement on the security breach in the Lok Sabha.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered a detailed investigation after two people jumped from the visitors' gallery into Lok Sabha and opened smoke canisters. The head of the Central Reserve Police Force has been the charge of the probe.
