KOCHI: The government alleged smear campaign led by the opposition, trying to politicize matters in Sabarimala shrine. The government response came in the High Court while considering the report given by the Sabarimala Special Commissioner apprising the uncontrollable rush situation of the past few days.

The division bench said that the Registrar General of the High Court had received 300 complaints by e-mail citing the difficulties faced by devotees in Nilakkal and Pamba. Most of these have been considered by the High Court and given orders. A division bench comprising Justice Anil K. Narendran and Justice G. Girish directed that the orders should be made available to the devotees on the virtual queue platform and the information of the High Court website should be provided along with it.

Meanwhile, the government brought the court's notice to fake campaigns running rampant in social media showing police beating devotees near Triveni at Pamba. In addition to the 17 parking grounds in Nilakkal, Pathanamthitta RTO has found six more parking spaces. The Devaswom Board informed that parking has been arranged at three places and said work is in progress here.

50 vehicles can be parked on Palliyara temple ground. A second track to collect parking fees using a Fast tag scanner at Nilakkal will be operational on December 16.
