THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The council members of Kerala State Chalachithra Academy have openly criticized chairman and director Ranjith alleging his autocratic conduct within the organization. The rift escalated as members accused Ranjith of behaving like a dictator.

Council member Manoj Kaana expressed strong disapproval stating that Ranjith's actions disrespect the academy's values and functioning. The members, addressing the media said that they do no hold allegiance to the chairman demanding corrective measures or his removal from office.

"Academy isn't a mere film set akin to Varikkassery Mana. Ranjith's dictatorial behavior is unacceptable. His unilateral decisions regarding the executive council composition are not tolerated. We collectively oppose this. His derogatory remarks towards others are unjustifiable," the members asserted.
