THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The High Court has revoked the permission to hold Navakerala Sadas at Chakkuvalli temple ground in Kollam. The permission was given by the Devaswom Board to hold the Navkerala Sadas in the Chakkuvalli temple ground in Kunnathur constituency. The High Court upheld the claim of the petitioners that holding the Navakerala Sadas here would affect the temple's operations. The petition was filed in the High Court by Hindu Aikyavedi workers.

The event was scheduled here on December 18. With this order, a new venue will have to be found for the Navakerala Sadas. A section of devotees had also approached the High Court against the permission to hold the Navakerala Sadas at the Kadakkal Devikshetra grounds.

Meanwhile, there was a clash between Youth Congress workers and the police at Alappuzha Kaithavana Junction after they showed black flags to the Chief Minister. The protest took place when the Chief Minister's vehicle reached Kaithavana Junction on its way to Kuttanad.
