THRISSUR: A drunken man hacked his mother to death in Thrissur's Kaiparambu. The deceased has been identified as Chandramathi (68), a resident of Edakalathur. After the incident, her son Santhosh was taken into custody by the Peramangalam police.

Santhosh, who was under the influence of alcohol, hacked his mother with a machete and injured her. The injured Chandramathi was immediately admitted to the medical college, but her life could not be saved. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
