PERUMBAVOOR: The police in Perumbavoor arrested two people for conducting theft at a vacant house. Vattaparambu native Kishore (40) and Cherthala Pallipuram native Mahesh (48) were arrested.

The incident happened on 36th November in a house near the Chelamattom roadside. The family who were out of station, got to know about the theft when they returned. Mahesh is accused in more than 40 cases in various stations. He is accused in a temple theft case in Pazhur and idol theft case in North Paravoor. Kishore is accused in more than 20 theft cases.

Both of them were released from jail a month and a half ago. During the daytime, the two will roam around on a bike searching for vacant houses that are locked from outside. After marking the house, they will make a return at night to conduct the theft. Kishore and Mahesh led a posh lifestyle with the gold they robbed. The gold stolen from Chelamattom was recovered from the jewellery store in Manjapra. The scooter used by the culprits was also seized.

The investigation team was led by Juvvanapudi Mahesh IPS. Inspector R. Ranjith, Sub-Inspector Rins M. Thomas, ASI A. Jayachandran, Senior CPOs P.A. Abdul Manaf, T.P. Shakunthala, CPO KA. Abhilash and others were in the investigation team.
