THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A case has been filed against Mahila Morcha activists who marched to the official residence of the state police chief alleging failure on the part of the police in the Vandiperiyar POCSO case. The museum police has registered a case against five people. The case has been charged under trespassing and obstruction of justice.

Mahila Morcha protested when DGP Sheikh Darvesh Saheb was present in his official residence by pushing open the gate and entering inside. Five activists yelled slogans while sitting in the yard. When activists came to protest, there were not enough policemen in front of the gate. Later, more police arrived and arrested the activists and removed them.

After the incident, the DGP called the commissioner and sought an explanation. It was proposed to file a case against the activists under the non-bailable section. The Mahila Morcha initially announced that they would march to the police headquarters, but later shifted the march to the state police chief's house. The workers came to the visitor's gate in front of the house saying that they had to file a complaint. The women police arrested and removed the activists with a lot of struggle.
