THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After a long break, the number of COVID cases in the state has crossed one thousand. Two COVID deaths were also reported today. The deceased are Kozhikode Kunnummal native Kumaran (77) and Kannur Panur native Abdulla (82).
At present, 1324 patients are undergoing treatment for COVID in the state. Health experts believe that more people are self-treating themselves for the flu without realising that they have been infected by COVID. Some of the main symptoms are severe cough, sore throat and respiratory problems.
Elderly and pregnant women should exercise caution. Dengue and rat-bite fever cases are also on the rise in the state. People suffering from fever should go to the hospital, get examined and undergo treatment.
