PATHANAMTHITTA: Minister AK Saseendran, who was admitted to Pathanamthitta General Hospital, was shifted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital due to a deviation in blood pressure.
The minister was on the Kerala tour as part of the Navakerala Sadas. He was slightly weak since yesterday morning and returned to Pathanamthitta without attending the Navakerala Sadas held in Chengannur in the evening.
Only the Chief Minister and other ministers attended the meetings in Chengannur and Thiruvalla. Saseendran, who was resting in a hotel room in Pathanamthitta, was examined by the medical team of the General Hospital in the evening. He was admitted to the hospital with high blood pressure. After four hours of observation in the cath lab, he was shifted to the room.
Meanwhile, Minister K Krishnankutty, who was admitted to the Alappuzha Medical College Hospital on Friday morning due to illness and discharged in the evening, became active again in Navakerala Sadas. Doctors have given strict instructions not to do anything strenuous. Krishnankutty, who arrived at the NTPC guest house on Friday night, attended the morning sadas yesterday and then a press conference with the Chief Minister. He has been excluded from the speeches at Navakerala Sadas.
