WAYANAD: Forest Department confirmed that it was the man-eating tiger of Koodalloor that attacked and killed a cow in Kallurkunnu as well. Forest department officials said that the same footprints of the tiger that attacked and ate young farmer Prajeesh in Wayanad Vakery Koodalloor were also found in Kallurkunnu. The tiger attacked the cow six kilometers away from where Prajeesh's body was found.

With this, drones have been deployed to monitor the tiger in the region. Forest department officials and RRT team will reach Kallurkunnu for further action. Two more cages were set up to catch the tiger. A camera trap has been set up in the area. Another cage was installed in Koodalloor the other day. With this, the number of cages became four. The search for the man-eating tiger has been intensified by checking camera traps and examining the footprints.

The forest department had confirmed that Prajeesh was attacked by a 13-year-old male tiger named WWL45. The visuals of the tiger were caught on two cameras installed near the chicken farm in Koodalloor. The tiger was identified by comparing these visuals with the picture in the possession of the forest department.

After identifying the man-eating tiger, the Chief Wildlife Warden has ordered to shoot the tiger if it cannot be captured. BJP state president K Surendran will visit Prajeesh's house today.
