NAGPUR: Nine people, including six women, were killed in an explosion at an explosives manufacturing factory in Maharashtra's Nagpur. An explosion occurred at Solar Industries India Limited in Bazargaon around 9.30 am today. Many people have been injured. It is reported that the condition of some of them is very serious.

Solar Industries India Limited is a factory that manufactures explosives for coal mining. According to reports, the explosion occurred while packing the explosives. A total of 12 workers were working inside the unit when the explosion took place. The blast took place at the cast booster plant. The police led the rescue operation after getting the information. It is unclear what caused the explosion. An investigation has been initiated into the incident.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief over the incident and announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the deceased.
