LUCKNOW: In a now-viral video, it is seen how PM Modi made his convoy speed down to make way for an ambulance. The incident took place in Varanasi on Sunday.
In the video, it can be seen that the PM’s convoy reduced speed and moved closer to the barricades to allow the ambulance to pass through. The Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to his home constituency, Varanasi. The Prime Minister will inaugurate 37 development projects worth Rs 19,000 crore in Varanasi. The second edition of Kashi Tamil Sangam, a new train from Kanyakumari to Varanasi will be inaugurated.
In normal situations, even ambulances will be made to take alternate paths to not obstruct the Prime Minister's passage. The risk of security threats is also high. However, today's event was an anomaly and it suited well among PM Modi's fan base.
Last year, Modi stopped his convoy in Gujarat on September 30 and Himachal Pradesh on November 9 to do this similar gesture of allowing ambulances to pass through.
