AHMEDABAD: A man has complained to the court that he is not getting conjugal rights from his wife. In the complaint, the husband says that his wife comes to his house only twice a month and the rest of the days the wife stays with her own parents.
In the complaint filed in the family court in Surat, the man demanded that his wife be instructed to live with him every day.
After the birth of their child, the woman allegedly comes to her husband's house only on two weekends every month. On other days, he lives with his parents saying that it is more convenient to go to work from his own home.
In the complaint, the husband says that besides denying his conjugal rights, the wife goes to work without caring about the child's health. The man also demands that conjugal rights be restituted under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act.
There was a favourable verdict from the court that the woman should go with her husband. But the woman appealed against the verdict in the Gujarat High Court. According to the woman, she goes to meet her husband twice a month to fulfill her conjugal needs. The High Court will consider the case on January 25.
