NAGPUR: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde stopped his vehicle to take the injured to the hospital. The incident happened Sunday evening on the Nagpur-Amaravati Road. After the accident on the highway, the chief minister, who came that way, released the ambulance of his convoy to take the injured to the hospital. The accident took place near Gondkheri bus station.

A youth identified as Girish Keshraoji Thidke was taken to the hospital in the ambulance of the chief minister's convoy. Three others, including two women, were injured in the accident. They have been taken to the hospital. Meantime, the chief minister visited the factory in Nagpur where nine people died in an explosion. A compensation of Rs 5 lakh was also announced for the families of the dead.
