KOTTARAKKARA: The governor is just blabbering, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan while addressing the press meet in Kottarakkara. The chief minister, who raised harsh criticisms against Governor Arif Muhammad Khan, started talking about the mike being turned off during the press conference the other day. The press meet often ends after the time is over. It is being presented as if something big has happened. He told the media to ask what they want to in the beginning itself.

‘Unusual things are happening from the side of the governor. Has any governor jumped on people? Is there a governor anywhere else in our country who goes against the protesters? It is the first time in the history of the country that a person in an official position has rushed towards the protestors. What all he blabbers at them? What harsh words he mentions. Criminals, bloody rascals and what all words he uses while addressing them. Is this the way a person in a high post should do. There are officials to prevent if wrong things are done. There is no need for him to intervene personally. It has reached a state where he can say anything. He is creating an extremely provocative atmosphere. The governor is attacking a state itself. He has other intentions. He is just blabbering. Who can tolerate such a person?' asked the chief minister.

The Raj Bhavan issued a press release the other day with a serious allegation that under the leadership of the chief minister, the administrative system is being destroyed. 'This is the first time in Kerala that the Governor has issued a press release against the chief minister. Installing black banners and posters outside the guest house where the Governor is staying could not have happened without the knowledge of the chief minister. Raj Bhavan is taking this very seriously. This is a clear indication that the governance system is collapsing in the state,' said the press release.
