NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued another notice to Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP convener regarding the liquor policy case. He has been summoned to appear for questioning on the 21st of this month. Despite a previous notice last month, Kejriwal did not attend the questioning session. The latest notice from the ED follows claims of its illegitimacy and alleged political influence prompting a reissuance.
In earlier developments, Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh were arrested by the ED in connection to the liquor case. The arrest of Manish Sisodia who held the position of Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi resulted from his implication in the contentious liquor policy case. Sisodia was taken into custody on February 26 and interrogated at the CBI headquarters in Delhi. Subsequently, he was also implicated in an ED case linked to the liquor policy.
