TEL AVIV: Israel continues its airstrikes in Gaza despite global appeals for peace. Hamas reports a death toll of 110 from Sunday's airstrikes in the Jabalia refugee camp with the overall count reaching about 19,000 casualties in Gaza.

The UN Security Council is engaged in hurried discussions, aiming to vote on a resolution urging an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages. The US which previously vetoed a similar resolution is part of these ongoing talks while India stands in favour of the ceasefire resolution.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has arrived in Israel for discussions amidst the escalating tensions.

Israel's military claims to have arrested 1,000 people who surrendered their weapons in Gaza. Moreover, they uncovered an extensive four-kilometer-long underground Hamas tunnel near the Erez border. The tunnel accommodates small vehicles equipped with electricity, drainage and a communication system.
