THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A range officer has written a letter to the head of the forest department seeking permission to commit suicide along with his family. Munnar working plan range officer P Abdul Jaleel sent a letter to the departmental head and administrative division APCCF. The letter pointed that he is having many difficulties as his superior officer is withholding his salary and other benefits.
If no action is taken on his demands like transfer, suspension, voluntary retirement and removal from job, then should permit to end his life. The main allegation in the letter is that the Munnar Working Plan Officer has put him and his family in financial crisis by not paying the salary and not agreeing to withdraw the General Provident Fund (GPF).
The letter alleged that the working plan officer is withholding the benefits of range forest officers while passing the salary and benefits including GPF of other officers on time.
