LUCKNOW: Ram temple trust confirmed that senior BJP leaders LK Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi, key figures in the Ram temple construction will not join the consecration ceremony next month. The trust cited concerns about their age and health as the reason for their absence.

Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Ram temple Trust stated that both Advani aged 96 and Joshi who is turning 90 next month were asked not to attend due to their elder status and health condition. Rai mentioned that both leaders willingly accepted the decision.

Preparations for the consecration ceremonies are in their final stages scheduled to conclude by the fifteenth of next month, ahead of the ceremony on January 22. The rituals for 'Prana Pratishtha' will commence on the 16th and continue until the 22nd.

The event anticipates the presence of approximately 4,000 distinguished sanyasi elites, 2,200 other guests and representatives from prominent temples such as Kashi Vishwanath and Vaishnodevi temples who have already received invitations.

The guest list for the ceremony includes spiritual leader Dalai Lama, Mata Amritanandamayi, yoga guru Baba Ramdev along with renowned personalities from the film industry like Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, director Madhur Bhandarkar and leading industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani. Notable personalities from the art world such as renowned painter Vasudev Kamath have also been invited to grace the occasion.
