NEW DELHI: KPCC president K Sudhakaran in favour of the governor regarding the appointment of university senators. Sudhakaran said he was not opposed to nominating qualified Sangh Parivar supporters to the Senate. Sangh Parivar supporters are also part of democracy. He clarified that they cannot be opposed just because they are Sangh Parivar supporters. His response was to a mediaperson's question.
Why should we criticize what the governor is doing following the academician's merits? We are not opposed to the inclusion of Sangh Parivar supporters. There are good ones among them. What's wrong with including them? It's okay to select them. You can criticize if only Sangha Parivar supporters are selected. If there are good people in the Sangha Parivar, how can they be opposed? Congress cannot include everyone either. We are happy if eligible candidates are selected. We will accept it.
It is not known how Congress and League members were included in the list. The eligibility of those on the list is being verified. KPCC has formed a committee for that. The report will be received within a week, K Sudhakaran said.
