THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress and UDF to toughen their fight against the Navakerala Sadas entering the capital district tomorrow. Tired of being beaten up by the DYFI members during the black flag protest, the Congress members have started 'life-saving work' from their side as well. This is what was seen in Kollam today. The act has the green light of national leadership also.

There are also fears that things could boil over into a street war. The Chief Minister's gunman coming out to brutally confront Youth Congress workers and even the disabled worker getting beaten up is what angered the members. It was criticized that the protest of the leaders was seen only in the statements but not in the actions and the vigour of the struggle was lost. Kutta Vicharana Sadas launched the UDF from Dharmadam, the chief minister's constituency, as an alternative to Navakerala Sadas also failed to make an impact.

As the parliamentary elections are approaching, there is a feeling in the ranks that the current agitations will not be enough to raise public anger against the government. The demand for retaliating the violence in the same strengh also got strong. The leadership was forced to intensify the protests after this. KC Venugopal, General Secretary of Congress Organizational Affairs, also shared this sentiment in a meeting with KPCC President K Sudhakaran, who came to Delhi for the Parliament session.

Police station march tomorrow

Congress workers will march to all 564 police stations in the state tomorrow. Five lakh people will participate in the march which will be held at 11 am. Workers will march to the DGP office under the leadership of K Sudhakaran on the 23rd, the day the Navakerala march ends in the capital. MPs, MLAs and other people's representatives will participate.

Will face leftist criminals again: Kodikunnil

Member of the Congress Working Committee Kodikunnil Suresh MP said that they will continue to face the Pinarayi police and left-wing criminals who are committing hooliganism against the youth who are protesting peacefully. Kodikunnil said that with the arrival of Navakerala Sadas in the capital city, the arrogance of Pinarayi Vijayan and the cabinet, which is the last word of arrogance, will end.

He also said that the 'life-saving work' done by Congress and Youth Congress workers against the violence of CPM and DYFI gangs on the route in which the Navakerala Sadas passed in Kollam, district deserves appreciation.
