THRISSUR: The man-eater tiger captured from Wayanad was brought to Puthur Zoological Park on Tuesday. The tiger, which was given treatment for a deep cut on his face, will remain in quarantine for up to 60 days. After that, authorities will seek permission to accommodate him in the park. The doctors examined the wounds on the tiger's face and leg in detail. The injury is believed to be caused during an encounter with another animal in the forest.
The tiger was brought to the isolation centre on Tuesday morning in a specially designed vehicle of the Forest Department. The tiger is 13 years old and is enormous. Its weight has not been officially disclosed. The wound on its face is a deep one. The doctors said that the treatment should be done carefully as the tiger is quite old. Doctors from Thrissur Veterinary College along with doctors from Wayanad are providing treatment. Accommodation for the tiger was arranged in Puthur on Monday night itself. This is the tiger that attacked and killed Prajeesh, a dairy farmer in Kudallur.
