KOLLAM: After the Youth Congress activists, Yuva Morcha workers also attacked the DYFI workers who came to stop the black flag protest in Kollam. The incident took place around 7 pm at Kollam's Randaam Kutti when the Chief Minister was coming to attend the Navakerala Sadas after the session in Kundara.

Two DYFI workers were injured in the clash with Yuva Morcha workers. In front of SV Talkies, about fifty Yuva Morcha activists waved black flags at the Navakerala bus in which the Chief Minister was traveling. The DYFI workers who came on bikes after the convoy came to the spot and attacked Yuva Morcha workers. However, the Yuva Morcha activists retaliated with sticks. The conflict lasted for twenty minutes. More police arrived and calmed down the situation.

Black flag protests are usually held by a handful of people. But the calculations of DYFI workers went south due to the presence of more Yuva Morcha workers on the spot. Around 10 Yuva Morcha workers were shifted to West Station. Around 10 Mahila Morcha workers near SV Talkies and BJP workers at Kadappakkada showed black flags to the Chief Minister.
